Working Experience

1968 – 1980

Started working with the Kano State Civil Service where I served in the Ministries of Finance, Finance Division, Revenue Division, Works & Survey, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Establishments & Service Matters, Cabinet Office and lastly Ministry of Information & Culture before I resigned my appointment.

1980 – 1983

Joined the Federal Civil Service afresh and worked in the defunct Presidential Liaison Office, Kano, under the Cabinet Office, Lagos as a Confidential Secretary to Alhaji Lawal Kaita and the late Alhaji Muhammadu Maude respectively.

1984 – 1988

After abolishing the Presidential Liaison Office as a result of a Military coup, I was deployed to the Hadejia-Jama'are River Basin Development Authority and served as the Personal Secretary of the General Manager of the Authority.

1988 – 1990

In July, 1988, the General Manager of the then H-JRBDA, Alhaji Mustapha Dauda was appointed the first Director General of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Development consequent upon which he requested for my deployment to the Ministry as his Personal Secretary.

1990 – 1991

When Alhaji Mustapha Dauda was transferred to the Directorate of Food, Roads and Rural Infrastructure (DFFRI), Lagos, I was seconded there as well and worked as his Personal Secretary up to December, 1990.

1991 – 2000

In January, 1991, I reported to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Development, Abuja and was retained and posted to the Honourable Minister's Office as a Personal Secretary.
